The Ask
Since 1953, Corvette has been an American style and performance icon. It remains the only American two-seat sports car in continuous production.
When the eighth-generation Corvette (C8) debuted, it was a ripe opportunity to get Chevrolet dealers excited about showcasing these powerful new electric vehicles and the Ultium battery and platform technologies that would power them and many other vehicles to come.
The five-city Find New Roads tour would become the stage to connect the dots between one of Chevrolet's most iconic vehicles and the all-new platform that would leapfrog all of GM's divisions into the future.
The goal was to show how dealers could showcase the Corvette in their showrooms as a halo for the entire Chevrolet lineup and provide the hands-on EV knowledge customers were seeking.
Capabilities
The Solution
DCI designed a highly engaging and scalable merchandising system to highlight the Corvette and the Ultium battery and platform at GM's premier dealer event. An estimated 6,000 attendees had the chance to explore these displays hands on and experience how they could bring new energy into dealerships by:
- Immersing customers in every aspect of the vehicle – features, specifications, color and trim samples and platform options
- Assisting customers with EV info centers that provided data about key electric vehicle ownership touchpoints, such as range, charging speed, home charging options and maintenance advantages
The Impact
The display was a focal point of the five-city Chevrolet Find New Roads tour, building excitement among dealers for the Corvette that offered more personalized performance options than any Corvette model preceding it and setting the stage for an entirely new EV platform.
