Intel

Hands-on Engagement Sparks Brand Recognition

Back to Projects

The Ask

Intel doesn't sell products directly to consumers, but building brand recognition as part of the high-tech solutions they power is a key driver to its success as a company. Consider the average electronics retailer with hundreds of devices on display. How does a brand like Intel cut through the overwhelming array and provide consumers with an understanding of the power of its products?

The Solution

Intel and DCI worked together to develop self-contained showcases in Best Buy® stores that fully immersed consumers in the capabilities of Intel products. The solution was The Intel Experience, bringing CES-level experiential moments to a busy retail environment. In 50 stores across the country, DCI built 240-square-foot installations with state-of-the-art fixtures, letting customers play hands-on with interactive depth-sensing cameras, real-time augmented reality, lifelike holograms and 84-inch touchscreens, unique in North America at the time of the launch.

DCI refreshed creative three times during the year so that customers saw a refreshed experience at regular intervals.

The Impact

Through seamless integration of the physical and digital environment, The Intel Experience became a shop-in-shop playground for the latest interactive technology that drove more than 1.7 million shopper impressions and an average dwell time of 2.5 minutes.
